Offshore student visa backed by Indian farm income

[Applicant A] lives in a farming village in Punjab, India. He wanted to come to New Zealand to study and pay full fees, so the application had to satisfy Immigration New Zealand that he was a genuine student and that he had the money to support himself.

We prepared a 72-document application with a full cover letter. It set out the study plan, the funds for tuition and living costs, and explained the source of the family’s money using the official grain-market sale records paird with banking records. We also addressed the genuine-visitor test point by point.

The substantive application was lodged from offshore with a comprehensive evidence pack. No decision was on file at the time of writing. Immigration New Zealand was satisfied and the student visa was granted.

An offshore student visa earns its weight by explaining the study plan and proving the money is genuinely available, not just attaching documents. Where the funds come from farming, the official grain-market sale records with actual bank records are the right way to show a real and traceable source of income. Setting all of this out clearly up front gives the application its best chance.
